Land Acknowledgement Statement
TerraGraphics International Foundation (TIFO) acknowledges with deep respect that our office in Moscow, Idaho, is located on the ancestral, unceded lands of the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce), Palus (Palouse), and Schitsu’umsh (Coeur d’Alene) peoples. These tribes have cared for this region since time immemorial, stewarding the land, its waters, and all their relations across what is now called the Palouse and Camas Prairie.
We honor the ongoing presence, sovereignty, and resilience of the Nez Perce, Palouse, and Coeur d’Alene communities. We recognize the displacement, treaty violations, and intergenerational impacts inflicted upon these Nations.
We express profound gratitude to local Indigenous communities—past and present—for sustaining vibrant cultures, languages, knowledge systems, and ecological wisdom that continue to enrich this region. The land beneath our feet has long been a gathering site, movement corridor, and ceremonial space for these peoples.
We offer this acknowledgment not as a one-time statement, but as a continuing pledge of accountability, growth, and respectful collaboration. By recognizing the past and present Indigenous stewards of these lands, we renew our commitment to responsible and ethical engagement in all TIFO endeavors.
